Position Title: Attendance Clerk FLSA Status: Hourly Reports to: Principal Classification: 9 Month Supervises: N/A Term: 186 Compensation Range: TBD Site: CGHS POSITION SUMMARY: To assist the Site Principal in maintaining the appropriate paperwork as it pertains to student attendance. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues Solid organizational skills Strong Customer Service skills Ability to work in a team atmosphere Ability to use constructive techniques to resolve issues Ability to work independently Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required An Associate’s Degree, or equivalent is preferred Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. IVP Fingerprint Clearance card is required DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for maintaining attendance and other mandated data for all student populations. Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff. Maintain control records on the incoming correspondence and documents, and follow up on work in process to ensure timely reply or action. Assemble data information for Site Principal as needed. Responsible for attending various mandated meetings as assigned. Works cooperatively with the Administrators to ensure the guidelines of the federal and state mandates are met. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Site Principal may assign. Following up on student absences related to COVID and documenting appropriately. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. (These essential functions are not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job related duties as required.) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Demonstrated ability to manage people and teams. Experience developing, implementing and leading training for a variety of staff and teams. Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize complex and sensitive information, as well as ability to manage and prioritize complex tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal professionally with sensitive and confidential issues. Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy and conflict management/resolution skills. Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor and ability to take initiative.
