POSITION: Custodial Supervisor- Night Shift LOCATION: District Wide – As Assigned REPORTS TO: Facility Supervisor JOB GOAL:
  • To assist the Facility Supervisor in maintaining a safe and clean school environment for students and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to be successful:
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Experienced with various custodial maintenance tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals
  • Knowledge of ordering cleaning supplies for large buildings
  • Ability to schedule work assignments for multiple employees
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work with staff, teachers and students at various educational levels
  • Proficient communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of district staff and with a diverse community
  • Able and willing to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to work independently when necessary
  • Ability to use constructive techniques to resolve conflict *This position requires evening and weekend work hours. Skills:

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work closely with and maintain open communication with the Principal and Facility Supervisor to provide safe and positive student and staff environment.
  • Maintain effective employee schedules to ensure facilities are clean and sanitized.
  • Maintains and repairs custodial equipment.
  • Conducts major cleaning during designated times to include, but not limited to: waxing/striping floors, deep cleaning of classrooms, open spaces, and offices, gum removal and graffiti removal.
  • Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, replaces lights as needed.
  • Cleans facilities, empties trash and removes litter.
  • Ensures all supplies are ordered and in stock appropriately.
  • Assigns work loads for all custodians in the district.
  • Organizes major cleaning schedules with sites and staff.
  • Attends meetings deemed necessary by the Facility Manger.
  • Supervises custodial maintenance staff.
  • Notifies maintenance personnel concerning need for minor or major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Responsible for recommending equipment replacement and new purchases. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • 12-month, Salaried Exempt position under FLSA. Placement on Exempt Related Services salary schedule by the Director of Human Resources dependent upon education and experience

  • Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately. Photo identification and work visa, (if necessary), will be needed for fingerprint clearance card and I-9 documentation prior to first day of work. EVALUATION:
  • Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
  • Proof of Mumps, Measles and Rubella, (MMR) vaccination.
  • Valid government issued identification or current work visa with expiration date.
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted with applications, official transcripts will be due upon job offer*
  • Fingerprint Clearance card is required * Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation, (word for word) by an acceptable translator. Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, (NACES).
